Never ask a Bang & Olufsen guy what he thinks of Bose... ;)
I hope I'm not insulting your intelligence (I can't cuz I don't have any)
but consult your stereo manual/users guide. Could it be that it
saves/doesn't save certain tone settings or modes? As far as CD tracks
skipping, could be your CD mechanism is hosed; or just dirty. Is the deck
firmly held in the dash? Maybe it's been knocked loose and is wiggling in
its mount.
I know that for home stereo, Bose's build quality is, well, not what it was
20 years ago. (i.e. Sanyo CD mechanisms) Sound quality for cars, however,
is really good. Now Nakamichi has fallen off the high quality wagon as well.
Shame.
