hmm...musings on my situation(long)

Hey list,
Thanks for all the advice. I have a lawyer for my case but I realize I did
wrong anyway, so I don't plan on getting off of this. I originally got this
car b/c I race motorcycles on the GNCC circuit and needed a good hauler. I
have a '94 ktm 440 :).So I DO have another place to get my jollies. I just
caught the "Audi bug". In terms of my case: I think I have a shot of getting
some charges reduced. I overheard the cop say that I was out of his
sight...if I was out of his, he was out of mine,right?. Also, I've already
checked out the law book and he should've turned on his lights as soon as he
wanted me pulled over. Considering the fact that I was at one end of the
stretch goin on to a different road while he was at the other turning
around-without any lights-I may have a shot. A shot as in: not going to jail
for a year.He also put in the report the only thing he had on me was "a
charcoal colored import with a loud exhaust"  ;). I'm sure the exhaust won't
help! This is a misdemeanor, but max penalty could put me in jail for a
year. I'll keep you guys updated about the deal. I'm not too worried
though...it's just money if it's a fine...jail would suck pretty bad...and
community service is not a big deal. Just being arrested was enough to show
me that I REALLY screwed up. I've already apologized to the officer and the
magistrate. My parents were pretty cool about it too...just said I better
find another place to test my boost. I guess I could be more upset about
this, but I've always been a "good kid" and I know things could be worse!
