I just read and old (year old I think) story abou how a bunch of fellas
painted a crosswalk as a joke...
...across the M3 expressway.
According to one very astute constable, referring to the
zebra-stripes, said "they must have been painted very early in the
morning, when there wasn't much traffic"
As we Americans say, "No $h!t, Sherlock."
His other(more interesting) comment was that they didn't get a single
call/complaint from motorists about it(it was immediately removed anyway,
quite easily, because apparently a very non-permanent paint was used in
the prank.)
This is almost as good as the RC model truck equipped with a set of 6
spray paint cans that can be programmed to print(er, paint) a message on
whatever it's travelling on, dot matrix style. It has graced 5 different
countries and all walks of life(including some off-duty cops) have
participated in the prank(the inventors hand over the controls to someone,
so the inventors can't be charged with anything.)
They should call up IBM(IBM has been getting into a LOT of trouble for
spray-painting ads on sidewalks in various cities toting their linux
offerings.)
