I had that problem with my 4kq.
It was actually not to my surprise the start of a lot
of electrical starting problems. First the battery
went, replaced that. Then 2 weeks later the starter
went. Had that re-built, with new cylinoid(about half
the price of a new one) Then the Alternator went, got
a used one. Hope this doesn't happen to you.
Also if your battery is really, really dead,
immediately jumping from another car might just cause
it to click, hook up the jumpers and rev the engine of
the other car for a little while, allowing your dead
battery to charge a bit before trying to start it.
HTH
