The "no maintenance" batteries can be checked as well. Just pry the caps off
with a screwdriver.
Another check for the starter is to jump the 2 starter terminals with
something rather substantial (preferably a remote starter switch) {carefully
as you might get some sparks since you're dealing with full battery amps &
volts}, and see if it cranks.
This bypasses the ignition switch that could be another source.
If you need a starter, I have one that only saw a couple of months use on my
URQ while I had the original rebuilt for sale.
