Hairy green toads from Mars made Brad Wilson say:

Not bloodly likely. I faced the same dilmena, I wanted a stick
(OK, I *required* a stick). That let the Passat out for me, and
I didn't like the A4, it is too small. I finally found an A6Q
with a stick, but almost settled for the Passat. The salesman
told me that there is little interest in "downmarketing" AWD
on VWs. Unlike Audi, which sells a large percentage of Quattros,
VW sells relatively few 4-motions.
