Great. When is the technology from our Type 44's going
to trickle down, so we'll have a big supply of VWs from
which to scavenge the parts we need to keep our Audis
going?

Sometimes I'd wish Audi would build a Chevy small block.
You know, the kind of engine that they build for 40 years
and for which there are tons of cheap parts and breaker
yards filled with donors. Right now Audi is acting like a
motorcycle company: build and sell an engine for 4 years
while you work on a totally new relacement. Let's see,
powering the "big" cars, Audi had the I-5, the V6-2.8, and
now the V6-3.0. Even the 3.6L V8 lasted for only 2-3 years
(in the US at least). "Vorsprung durch Technik" indeed.

OK, I'm done ranting.
