034 EFI, controlling ignition with Haltech IG5?

Hello all,

I found that Haltech makes an ignition-only computer, listed here:

http://www.hitman.hm/ig5.htm

I found a price for it here, in Australian dollars (actually this is a cached
copy in Google, the actual website appears to be down):

http://www.google.com/search?q=cache:9grMv79lCmA:www.fourplusperformance.com.au/Htm/Electcont.htm+haltech+ig5+cost+price+%24&hl=en

Then I converted the price listed there ($695) into U.S. $$ (assuming the
listed price is in Aussie $$) here:

http://www.xe.com/

I get about $360.99 in U.S. dollars.

It looks like this ignition only computer is usable for a 5 cylinder turbo
application.

Could this be the next step up for someone who is running the 034 EFI
fuel side?

I realize that adding the cost of the two units together amounts to the
cost of a standalone computer that controls both fuel and ignition sides.
In this case, however, the money can be spent in stages.

I'm wondering if for $400 it's worth it over getting a hold of an NF/NG
computer and wiring harness to handle the ignition duties.

Just an idea. What do y'all think?

Later,

Ken
