I had sticker on my old bike that said ELS, Expensive
Lightweight Sh*t. I stopped paying for light
components a long time ago because they just are not
designed for hard or heavy riders. Now to contradict
myself, the Santa Cruize Superlight I currently ride
has held up like a champ, but it's aluminum and comes
with a warranty that can't be beat if you wrap it
around a tree. I would use those rims for drag racing
or something, but would never trust them in a harsh
environment.
