no, it is working as designed. the behaviour is caused by the torsen -
which is locked when the torque difference between the front and rear
drive-shafts is less than the "bias ratio". when this torque difference is
exceeded, the diff unlocks and this behaviour disappears.

My A4 does that too. At slow speeds from a stop, then
do a sharp turn? I believe it is the torsen rear
differetial making that noise. Mine has done that
fromm day 1 so I would not be worried
