The current (longitudinal engine) Passat was never offered with a TDI
engine in the US. Even if it was, it would probably be transplantable
into an A4 or A6, but not a 5000. At least not within reasonable budget.
The previous-gen Passat came with the 1.9 TDI 4-cylinder engine, but
that's a transverse application and not easily adaptible to an Audi
that had a longitudinal 5-cylinder engine.
