Hi all...was down in Phila. area Friday and Saturday for my old men's chorus
Christmas party (we're not ALL old men, but the chorus dates from 1890)...Taka
attended and, I think, had a good time. Today, my wife and I were poking around
various thrift shops in South Jersey and found a pretty decent '82 5000S for
sale that someone had donated to the Children's Home Thrift Shop at 1725 Highway
38, Mt. Holly, NJ 08060 (Directly across from the WalMart). It is gray with a
light gray velour interior and automatic transmission. Exterior is in pretty
good condition, though it looks like someone tried to jimmy the trunk at some
point. It has new tires and battery and runs (didn't get anyone to start it up
for me...just read the sign on the wall). Asking price is $395.00 or best
offer...if anyone has a typ 43 (including the lister that just posted his
situation in the last day or so), this looks like a drive-home parts car or even
something that could easily restored or used as a daily driver. I'm back in
Massachusetts now, but you can contact the retail business manager of the shop,
Fred D'Imperio, at 609-265-8788 or email him at Thriftfred at aol.com. I have only
eyeballed the car, but Mary and I are regular customers and donors to the shop,
so I hope someone might be interested in making an offer on this car. Regards,
Tom
