Searching the archives

Taka Mizutani wrote off-list to thank me and a few others
for pointing him to a source for a ratcheting crimper.
He also voiced his frustration with trying to seach the
archives. So for his and other's benefit, here are some
search tips:

- try various word combinations ("ratcheting crimper",
   "ratchet crimpers", "wire crimpers", "solderless
   connections")
- try singular and plural ("crimper", "crimpers")
- try noun and verb ("crimper", "crimp")
- try dropping or adding "ing" ("ratchet", "ratcheting")
- try variations ("mcmelectronics" was the URL, and
   "mcm electronics" was the company name)
- try names of posters, nicknames, or other unique
   identifiers (I used "marc" and "swanson")
- use modifiers + (and) and - (not). For example,
   "+mcm +electronics" or "+mcm -electronics"
- use the "search within results" button to add another
   word to search for in the previous results list
