Michael- to be fair to Jason and other cheapskates (just kidding),
the flap on my old 5ktq recommended 91RON octane unleaded, which
equates to 87 octane gas in the US using the R+M/2 (or was it N?)
method that we use in the US.

That said, I've always used 93 octane in my 5ktq and use the same
in my 200q, but that's necessary now because the 200 is chipped.

The current owner of my old 5ktq runs 87 in it and has had no problems,
but I can't say that is good or bad, because he mentioned to me that
"the car is lacking power" without mentioning that he has no turbo
boost at all (massive vacuum leak) and he has never read the owner's
manual, which I had procured from Dyment at my own expense, as well
as the Bentley service manuals which I gave him.
