These descriptions below refer to US models only.
The 80-82 Audi 4000 sedans don't have a front spoiler at all. There is
body sheetmetal under the bumper, with a plastic grill on it.
The 83-84 cars do have a front spoiler, but there are two styles.
The 4-cylinder cars come with one that has three horizontal slits on the
bottom lip. The 5-cylinder cars (including Coupe GT and 4000q) have a
front spoiler without those slits, but also have a lower lip than the
4-cylinder cars.

The 1980-82 4000 series pics show no spoiler at all.
The 1983 4000 series has the FWD 4000 spoiler with those slits, and the
1984 4000 series pic is that of the 4000q (which also has the same
spoiler as the Coupe).
