problems with H&R springs

If you go with Bilstein, you will need to get the shorter "sport" shocks,
i.e. in front, 36-3069 as opposed to the 36-3070 Heavy Duty models. The
rears on your car are different than for the 100/200 series, so I don't
have a Bilstein p/n for you .  As for the strut bearing in front, sounds
like yours is shot. Replace the upper strut bearing with a new one when
you are doing the shocks. If they are the original strut bearings, I'd
bet that they are toast, especially if you WV roads are as bad as you say
they are.
