After market radios for modern Audis?

Anybody have any recommendation for after-market radios that fit the
Symphony (very tall) series radios in the more recent Audis? Is that just a
double-DIN space? Is the space behind shallow or deep? Any BTDTs?

Also, anybody know if the subs in the trunk are standard speakers (i.e.,
could I get an after-market amp and use them with an after-market deck, or
are they the annoying Bose setup like the speakers?)
