I haven't seen a neuS4 Avant on the road yet. But as I said, around here
(suburban NYC) I generally see at least 2 -3 sedan neuS4's a week. I've
only seen maybe 1 or 2 of the last generation M3s (and only the local
dealer plate new generation one) in the last year (or so). The only 1st
gen M3's I've seen recently are at racing events and car shows. As for A4
Avants, they are pretty rare, only seen a few (definitely more than
200Q20V's though I keep running into random (non-lister) ones lately (how
many were actually in Pearl anyway, I wonder if I've seen the entire East
Coast alotment of Pearl ones in 1 year!), ALWAYs when I'm in somebody
elses car, though a few of the owners are actually willing to talk to me
anyway. NONE have been listers (though I've always brought it up to
them!).
