My previous audi (coupe quattro) had stock springs and Koni's. The ride was
a little to stiff at low speed ( ~30 MPH) but  it was almost impossible to
upset it (with pot holes etc) because it gave very good body control. Doing
it the other way around would IMO would be a bad thing.

On the subject of shocks can anyone tell me if I can change them on my '92
80 q by pulling them out of the top of the strut like (I believe) can be
done on the 100 / A6 ?
