[ Registry tweaks ] ( a fresh idea)

At the risk of being a noodge (nudge?), listing the cars by platform
confuses, not clarifies.  This is supposed to be a registry, not an
engineering thesis.

In everyday conversation and in q-list messages, we talk about our cars in
familiar model nomenclature, not manufacturer-speak.
