I think I can live with "not looking good" for a little while.

I can see only a few downsides

1) it might piss off the epa by running a few ticks higher on the rev band
2) it might hurt my fuel economy
3) I might loose 3rd and 4th gear

So your point is?

Really no big deal.  I'm going to replace the thing anyway.  What's to hurt?
I didn't fill the tranny case with gasoline.. its not going to go in a
grenade like fashion..
