best tranny oil, type and brand, for 5kcstq?

I've been experiencing the gears barely touching a bit when I shift,
unless I deliberately place it into gear to prevent it. I don't think it
used to be that way.

I'm pretty sure I changed out the fluid and put Redline MT90 in it,
which is a 75w90 GL-4 gear oil. I thought it was low, so I was
going to top it off. It wasn't low, and in fact some dribbled out when
I let the car down level on the wheels.

So, now I'm thinking this stuff is too slick or otherwise not the best
thing I could be running in my car.

I was wondering what specifically people are running in their
trannys, in similar 5kcstq's or T44's.

I will go back to conventional, if it means the shifting will go back to
being smooth. If it ever was, I can't remember. It may be the
shifter linkage needing adjustment or new bushings. Are there any
instructions anywhere on doing this, or perhaps rebuild kit part
numbers?

Thanks,

Ken

p.s. I got that cam pulled. I took some digital pics, and the lobes
are noticeable taller to my eye. I don't have any calipers to give
any hard data. It was kinda nice, tearing into the motor like that.
It's been a while. Much easier the second time, but maybe that's
because it's on an engine stand without the car around it.
