Did you check your voltage regulator? Or the infamous "splice" to the
positive terminal under the seat? You'll need to do a load voltage test
to be sure on the splice. Also, if you can hold out to get one, I'd
personally get one of Avi Meron's (lister) souped up altenators. That'll
give you some excess capacity if you decide to upgrade other electrics,
or perhaps it'll overcome some internal resistances (such as weak but not
totally dead splices).
