How much DOES a seat wegh?

I have a Morris Minor seat (red) on castors that must be 30 years old (a
reminder not to buy anything British).
Fabricated a square frame from flat steel to fit the bottom of the seat
correctly. Then I took a 14" length of pipe and attached the castors and legs
to it. I had to use legs off an old chair because the stuff around in late
'60's you couldn't weld. I then fabricated a duplicate frame from some small
angle to the one on the seat and welded it to the top of the pipe. I also made
4 support brackets from and attached them from the angle to the bottom of the
pipe where the castors were attached. Then bolted the two halves together.
Its top heavy and has a tendency to fall over once in a while but it was an
honest to goodness farm job at the time.

Best one I saw was an early Mustang bucket in an art-deco shop on King near
Parliament in Toronto. I think they wanted $5k for it. But they also had a
bench from an old Cadillac for about a zillion $$$.
