Wheel fitment question

Hi,

I have to admit that I do'nt know a whole lot about wheels. I have been 
looking to go to 16" or 17" wheels this spring, but I have a 90q and the 
choices are few.
My question is: IF I had a 5-lug hub conversion done, would a A4 or A6 wheel 
work on my 90?
I have been quoted a price of $1,000 for the conversion, which seemed like a 
lot at first. But with the plethora of almost new Audi wheels on places like 
eBay, the price seems much more reasonable.
