One problem... you can run a "dump" valve on the Audi CIS system. That
air that you would be dumping is metered air. FWIW, I just finished the
bypass valve installation on my 5kcstq yesterday. I run 15psi or 2.0bar
absolute and the stock valve works just fine.

I may be jaded here, but "upgrade" bypass/blow-off valves are extremely
popular with the rice crowd, and seem to offer no benefit other than
cool
sound.
There is one exception: if the stock unit is unable to stay closed
against
your high boost pressure an upgraded unit is in order, but most often
the
best "upgrade" is a stock unit off a motor that's designed to a higher
boost level. (Which can often be had cheaply becasue the ricer-owner of
the car in question is going for cool sound..)
