Strange window problem Phase II

Thank you for all your help on phase 1. I opened up the dash and saw the "Window control reelay" #286 on the front. Only it was not Yellow or Orange but rather black. It is twice the width and depth of a standard relay. I went to my friend "Joel Osserman" owner of select transportation in Waterloo NY check out his web site. (http:/www.selecttr.com). He was kind enough to let my try a known good window control module............It made no difference. Soooo I have now found that the Yellow/Blue and Red/Black wires going to the drivers side window switch have about 0.6 Ohm's resistance too ground. The other switches equivalent wires show infinite resistance to ground (Open Circuit to ground). Is this normal, or have I found the short circuit ????


Also how the heck to I get the window down with no power?......I have the door skin off and am down to bare metal and need to gain access to the problem wires inside the door.I can see where the a couple wires are chafed but they are not the Yellow/Blue and Red/Black wires . I can not see in because the window regulator is in the way. If there is any one out there who has done this please e-mail. I do not want to pull this beast apart blind..............


P.S. I would give my right arm for good old simple crank windows right now !!!!!
