4000 sump guard

I have the same problem.

The only cheap solution, since the sheet metal of the chassis is weaker than 
the subframe, is to buffer the sump guard mounts. Some sort of floating bolt 
and rubber washer rig with closed cell foam between it and the sump. Be sure 
to take off the old pan and bang out the dents, also put a $10usd turbo sump 
baffle on the pickup. I used to readily hit the oil pressure alert without 
one.
