Brother Josh,
LP is between 100 and 108 Motor octane, more or less!
Natural gas is between 115 to 130 motor octane, varies quite a bit!
Anyway all octane # above 100 Octane are approximate (in regard to motor
octane).

Actually, propane has very high octane. (130 or so if I recall
correctly) You need to INCREASE the compression ratio to take optimal
advantage of it.
