Except the LT-1 in the Impala is not the same engine as in the
corvette. The Impala SS has about the same HP as a 200q20v, which
basically makes the Impala just a quick family sedan; these days, a
car that size with that much HP from that large a V8 is considered,
well, slow.

Er, you mean how Mr. Cage outruns, in a shelby w/nitrous, a
helicopter, going through the flood gate system canals which are full
of garbage and puddles? Low profile tires and all? Uh huh.
Riiiiight. I remember hearing somewhere that the car was just
basically a shell, nothing real under the hood. Somehow, I suspect
the real thing would be a liiiitle bit quicker through the gears.
Some pretty awesome/funny stuff though, I had fun watching it friday
night. And a good set of music; my favorites were Moby's
contribution Flower, and, for that funky fun side of life, Machismo
by Gomez. Each could only be described as encompassing rather
interesting combinations of musical styles.
