Ok, I would like to express my opinion on owning guns.

I think owning a gun is worse that not owning one, for several reasons.

1. Let's say I get mugged. Since I don't have a gun, I"ll just give
him my money, end of story. I'll feel like hell, but that's it, nothing
else. If I have a gun, I'll prolly try to take it out and defend myself.
But he probably has a gun too, and shoot me first. OF couse I can end up
shooting him first and become a hero, but the risk of getting shot is
still there.

2. I'm in a donut store and the store gets robbed. If I don't have a gun
I'll just duck down, give money, and that's it. If I have a gun, I"ll
probably try to save the day, and very possibly end up getting shot.

3. I'm in a bad mood, just got fired from my work, and some punk hit my
car and started screaming that it's my fault. If I don't have a gun, I'll
just get really pissed and argue with him, but that's it. If I have a gun,
being in bad mood, I'll probably take it out and blow his head off.

It's true that having a gun can make you defend yourself better. But it
also puts you in greater risk. I personally would rather lose earthly
possesions than getting into other stuff. After all, you can always regain
your money and ego, but not your arm, lung, or worse, your life.

Just my 2 cents.
