<<I was able to successfully rejuvinate one by cleaning the brushes and
applying some di-electric grease to the armature contacts. Only did the
upper brush, as the lower was a PITA to get to, but that did the trick.Ben>>

<Since we are on the topic....Is it possible to rebuild these when they are
out of the car or is just not worth the effort? I am planning on getting a
spare blower from a junk car
and replacing brushes and anything else needed, unless this is a waste of my
time....Rob>

Rob,

I don't know for sure, but it would seem that would be pretty easy. As I
recall, the brushes, pop out easily and installing new ones should be
simple. They are the item that wears out and causes the "cutout around the
corner" before failing by not connecting at all.

That sounds like a great idea, except it seems that would mean having to
deinstall 2X. Since you just need to get yours out and put in brushes, I
wouldn't waste my time removing one from another vehicle.

Anyone who differs in opinion, please respond. I've only done the above
trick once, but it seems this would be a simple matter to replace the
brushes if you have them in hand.

Also, who has the brushes? Dealer item?
