Interior Lamp Dimmer

Quats...

I remember some talk a while ago about retrofitting a relay (hopefully it's that simple) to make the interior lights fade on and off. For example, when a door is opened or the doors are locked. I'm sure a lot of you have it on the A series cars.

If anybody ever figured out how to do this would you please let me know?

P.S. Car in question is a 1991 200 turbo 10v fwd.
