The Least Expensive UFO Brake Conversion Option?

Fellow UFO'ers and others who have done this project:
I have combed the archives meticulously and have decided to convert my '90
V8Q's UFO's to a standard rotor-type setup by harvesting the front struts,
brakes, calipers, etc. from a pre-existing, salvaged 200 or S4. There are no
more "conversion kits" available, to my knowledge, and I think this is the
least expensive way to go.
I have a couple of questions that John Cassara at Autobahn Performance was
able to help with, but I need some confirmation from others who have done
this specific upgrade. The archives go back and forth on this a bit and most
of the discussion on this thread are rather dated, so please give me your
updated info and sources, etc.:
1. Exactly what parts from a 1990-91 200 TurboQ are needed to do the
upgrade?
(John said that a '92-'93-'94 S4 or S6 '96-'97 will work, too.)
2. What parts will remain on my original V8 setup?
3. In light of the fact that I am trying to keep costs way down, what parts
need to be replaced new for this conversion? I assume pads, rotors, but what
else?
4. I have read that it makes sense to upgrade to stainless steel brake
lines and a higher quality brake pade, like PBR. What other caveats are there
that I should be aware of while proceeding? I assume an alignment would be
needed after replacing struts? What about urethane bushing, ends, connectors,
etc?
TIA for your help on this in-process project. Since I will be keeping this
car for a while I thought I'd better go for the standard rotors setup.
Unfortunately, BIRA has no conversion available yet for the V8Q.
