Several people have referred me to items on eBay recently.

Quite apart from the fact that their site is down for maintenance
at the moment (that's what you get for choosing Sun 'mainframes'
and not real ones) we have had a couple of incidents in the UK
recently.  One was when someone paid GBP6,000-odd for a watch
supposedly worth GBP25,000 - but only recieved a photograph of the
watch.  The seller is apparently maintaining that this is all they
bidded for.

(Yes, I too was reminded of the Goons' photograph of a shilling.)
