Phil's confusing roots

I am seriously confused.
For some reason, I was under the impression that Phil, you were from England, 
and made your living keeping the objects of our affection running and on the 
road. Not necessarily wrenching personally, but gainfully deriving income 
from same.
Now I read, that all along, you have been a computer whizbang.
OK, from wherefore does all this wonderful Audi expertise spring forth. One 
does not gain this vast amount of knowledge voyeuristically observing others.
Will you ever be in Denver? I'd love to buy you a brew someday.
