timing belt change (was murder)

   Re the Vermont Murders,  I hope I'm with the majority of the list when I
say I welcome a bit of humour on the list.One of the things that keeps most
people going is the ability to joke about tragedy, or whatever, and when we
do this we don't deny the bad things that happen out there in crazy-world,
we just salvage some humour from it. why not 'chill out' and enjoy the list
content I say.

    Anyway, at the weekend I got the timing belt job done. The murder part
was of course doing battle with the crank pulley bolt, but I won ( I
think ). The sight of shiny new idler, w/pump, crank oil seal and belt all
installed made me feel warm all over and while I was at it I added new rad
hoses and alt and hydraulic pump belts. Its a sight for sore eyes now.

    The old belt was the limpest oil-sodden thing you ever saw, so I reckon
I got there just about in time. Thanks to the various people who chimed in
with words of advice leading up to the operation.You know who you are.....
