MAC-10 vs MAC-11C ...interchangeable?

Mr. Dave,
I have swapped ECUs from an early 5K (86) to a late (86-7) without ill
effects (at least none that I have noticed!

Would the MAC-10 ECU found on the early MC engine (early 1986 model)
interchange with the ECU used in the later MC engine (like 1987-88),
including the one which came with the MAC 11C?

If they could be interchanged, does anyone know if there are differences in
the way they work?
