With the argument about concrete walls not withstanding, I don't think the argument about F1 cars being safer than NASCAR holds water.  Did you happen to witness Tony Stewart's air time?  I think I'd rather be encased in a full, 1 3/4" crome moly cage than a carbon fiber tub any day, at least in a 180mph crash.

That's a dichotomy, however, as when I dream it's me behind the wheel, it's definitely a Formula 1 car, turning right, left, hell, even shifting gears.  Roundy round never makes it to REM and beyond.

All that aside, motor sports lost a great one yesterday.  You will be missed, Dale.
