We have several listers in England, most with Urquattros. I've cc'd
Phil Payne who is extremely knowledgeable with Audi 5 cyl turbos and can
give good recommendations for V8 service. I'll also copy the quattro
list as some of our euro listers are there much more than the V8 list.
Much of your service needs could be met by anyone remotely familiar with
automobiles. Unfortunately this often doesn't apply to Audi dealerships.
With regard to your questions, if you are running high octane/techron
additive and aren't having any indication of stumbling, etc you will
probably be fine. The techron concentrate is excellent for removing
deposits and carbon. I run a can through at least every 6 months.
The vibration issue is most likely tires/balance/rim if it only occurs
at a single speed range. I rim out of round will usually show as a
problem at nearly all speeds. Worn lower control arms (outer ball joint)
can cause vibration issues also. Its not unusual to see one or both
sides bad on V8 models over 100K
