Nobody else races in the rain. Hmmm...... SCCA. Sebring has been run in the rain, Le Mans has been run in the rain. IMSA has been known to run in the rain. I saw the Group 7 Can Am cars run in the rain. 800 horsepower 200 pound cars running on tires as big as rowboats. Hoooooyaaaa!

Nobody runs AWD. Also hmmm......Pretty true. Audi was so fast that restricting the intake area and adding weight couldn't stop'em, The Ford contingent (Jack Roush) pitched such a hissy they were banned from competition. I believe the BTCC banned them some years later. Same reason, AFIK. If the technology produces winners, why don't the resultant losers adopt the technology instead of whining until it's banned?

Concrete barriers and banked turns? Barrier technology has moved forward at an amazing pace over the last couple of decades. Runoff areas aren't the only option anymore, and NASCAR would do well to investigate the possibilities.
Just my $.02, John
