This reminds me of my time in the US Army, stationed in Seoul, South
Korea. We got some snow, and when I got to the motor pool to check out a
jeep (M151A2, Mutt) for my patrol shift (I was an MP), the mechanic on
duty told me I had to put chains on it because of the snow. I looked at
him with a puzzled expression and said, "Chains? You're going to have to
help me with those." He asked me where I was from, to which I promptly
replied Wisconsin. He was puzzled, I came from a state that got plenty
of snow, and yet I didn't know how to put chains on tires. To which I
replied, "Hell, we don't need chains in Wisconsin, we know how to
drive!" Got a chuckle out of him.
