Yup, and between roundy-round races they have this competition
called "King of the Hill" where guys like you and I who just
happen to have a helmet in the car can compete in what is
basically a one lap drag race around the 1/2 mile oval.  

It's kind of unnerving when you're lining up to see the previous
round competitor putting it into the wall.
I did somewhat better, but knew I was in trouble when I noticed
the RX-7 next to me in the finals had that ported wankle sound, a
roll cage, and R1's.  I came in second.

Who's up for some competition this year?
