'95 90Q - besides injectors, ISV, or vaccum leaks.....OR O2 sensors..........

I forgot to mention that the O2 sensors were just replaced and I get no O2 sensor
codes so I think we can tentatively rule that out. I used to be able to
semi-reliably reproduce the condition when decelerating in gear from high speed
after a prolonged run on the highway (high vaccum condition, I imagine). Lately,
however, it seems to be far more sporadic. Unfortunately, the best predictor of
when it will happen is at the moment of impending joy that I've got the problem
fixed and then my hopes come crashing to the ground. On the plus side, I experience
virtually no driveability problems at any time, light or not. I'll the things you
all have suggested, but I'm always open to more hypotheses. Thanks,

Joel

I do put more than my fair share of miles on the car in a month so it sounds like
the oil consumption is reasonable.
