have you seen the price for a replacement drip cover? For my 90q here in the UK
a new one was 20 quid (28 dollars)!! The thing is so flimsy, strawberry punnets
have more structural integrity, and my Dad reckons they'd cost pennies to make.

I did buy one as my old one is damaged and was doing exactly as you mention,
though in my case the water enters through an impromptu hole cut in the scuttle
for access to the clutch mc by a very inconsiderate PO:(
