Weird light problem

Hi Jan;
When you have the problem, whack the dash over the instrument cluster. If
the problem clears up, you probably have a bad solder joint on one of the
grounding pin sockets on the main instrument panel circuit board.
Resoldering the ground pin sockets solved similar (but not identical) dash
light/signal light/ hi beam indicator problems on my '91 200q. The
calibrated dash whack would temporarily fix the problem and led me to the
solution (after a few false starts :o)
