Oh, no - drove a 928 S4 today (NAC)

One of the vice-presidents at the company I work for knows I am a gearhead.
And when he bought his latest toy, a Porsche 928 S4, he said we'll have to
get together for lunch to take a ride in it. Low mileage car(29K miles),
interior and exterior like new, and he had it shipped in from California.

So me being the shy wallflower type, I called his admin asst. and asked to
be put on his schedule for today.

Today arrives. And, amazingly, I got to drive.

He is a dyed in the wool gearhead, too, hands me the keys and says "After
she warms up, go ahead and put your foot in it. See what she will do."
Like saying "Here's the keys to the bank, Mr. Jensen, how much do you need?"

On the twisting roads around the office I took it fairly easy, but when I
turned on to the interstate on-ramp and nailed it hard, the thing was like
nothing else I had ever driven (and I've driven many 'murican V8s).

Oh. Mah. Gawd. I backed off at the end of the ramp at 93 mph: what a
fantastic and visceral car this is! I had a HUGE sh*t eating grin on my
face by the time we got back to the office.

Not posting this to brag, I know lots of you have access to a wide variety
of high performance autos, but if a VP ever says "wanna drive?", then I say
go for it!!!!

(aka the junkie who just got a fix, wondering how long it will take to
succumb to an Audi V8, hey there's a V8 5speed on the marketplace and boy
that would sure make a nice addition to the
stable.......hmmmmmm.......didn't Ed Kellock start out this way?......I'm in
trouble now!)
