chuckle... I was just looking under the hood of a 4 cyl model 80.  The
water pump is nicely "ouside" the engine block for easy swapping, and is
run by an external v-belt.

Now I know why the 5 cyl has it "inside," run by the timing belt.  If
the belt to the pump breaks, you can't destroy the engine by driving it
until it cooks itself!  It's not a bug...
