BTDT-FBAIES on my 5kCSQA ...

Sure the broken screw and duct tape aren't visible, but I know they are
there, and it is quite visible whenever the cover is raised (I s'pose I
could have found some black duct tape) but If all that you're doing is the
blower motor I am convinced that I can do it in basically the same amount of
time without hacking anything or breaking any screws. I used to use a
"Skewdriver" to access the bottom screw on the access cover for the blower,
but I've found that I can use a small Phillips screwdriver slipped into the
intact duct while raising the airbox slightly to get at that pesky screw. I
have to deform the plastic squirrel cage on the blower a bit to get it out
and in, but it is all done in very short order. Just be sure that the
plastic motor cover comes out of the housing when you pull the old blower,
and use a bit of WD40 (or equiv) on the housing of the new blower so that it
will slide home easily ...
