Changing clutch slave on 86 5KS, URGENT questions...

Hello listers! Long time, no read...
Got some questions, and this is THE place to ask 'em... I've looked through 
the archives, but still have these questions about changing the clutch 
slave:

-Can I spray down the area with brake cleaner or engine degreaser first?  
Area looks pretty gunked up down there, and I can't see all the parts 
clearly..

-Can I leave the slave out of the car until the replacement is purchased?

-Once new slave is in, I must refill brake fluid and bleed through the 
slave, correct?

-How long is this going to take to pop old one out and replace with new?  I 
don't have much time this week to do this, and need know how long it's going 
to take.  I have to finish by Friday afternoon.

-If after the slave is replaced, where is the next likely suspect, if this 
doesn't correct the problem with the dropping pedal?  I'd say the master, 
but the cabin floor, pedal, and cyl itself are all dry...

Any help is much appreciated!!
